Cornell Kang

Sports Massage Therapist - 1st class honours in fusion Chinese medicine in sports science

I’m Nai-Erh (Cornell) Kang, a Sports Massage Therapist and Athletic Trainer with eight years of experience working with athletes ranging from national champions to committed recreational clients. My passion lies in helping people recover from injury, improve movement quality, and optimise performance through a combination of hands-on therapy and functional training.

I’ve had the privilege of working across diverse sporting environments, from professional badminton, rugby, gymnastics, and wushu teams to para-powerlifting and 3x3 basketball. I’ve supported athletes at major international competitions, including the Asian Games and World Wushu Championships, providing soft tissue therapy, injury management, and emergency care to keep them performing at their best. My role often extends beyond the treatment table—collaborating with coaches, medical teams, and support staff to design rehabilitation and injury prevention programmes that get results.

My approach integrates sports massage, manual therapy techniques, and strength and conditioning principles. Whether it’s reducing post-match muscle fatigue, restoring range of motion after injury, or addressing biomechanical imbalances, I aim to deliver care that’s both evidence-based and athlete-centred. I hold a Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports Science, with research focusing on the effects of cupping therapy on fatigue recovery, alongside a Bachelor’s in Sports Science. I’m also certified in NSCA CPT, ITEC Massage, athletic training, SFMA, and other advanced therapy methods.

Currently, I’m furthering my skills with upcoming qualifications in advanced sports massage, therapeutic massage, and dry needling. My goal is simple: to help every athlete I work with—whether on the pitch, in the gym, or in the clinic—recover faster, move better, and perform with confidence
